Who I am
I’m Chris Davies, a graphic designer and web designer, with over a decade of experience. Originally from London, England but based in Melbourne, Australia since 2012 (now a permanent resident), I work for clients worldwide.
I have a wealth of experience in graphic design, digital design and art direction, having worked for studios and in-house in London and Melbourne.
Until 2012 I ran a brand design studio in London called Stadium Creative. As a small studio of three, we punched well above our weight, working for a number of enviable clients in the non-profit, arts and retail sectors. Since my move to Melbourne I have spent time at Cornwell and The Contenders amongst other freelance contracts.
I’m currently employed as Senior Designer at Assembly Branding and working on select freelance commissions.
What I do
• I work with brands to help them communicate to their audience in the most effective way.
• I create visual identities, websites, printed materials and many things in between.
• I have a pragmatic approach, always considering the audience and purpose of what I’m creating.
• I believe in substance before (but not without) style, and that the outcome of a project, in both physical form and appearance, should be born out of the objectives of the product; not from a pre-decided template.
Who I’ve worked for
Museum of London, Greenpeace UK, Domaine Chandon, BBC, Monash University, Homelessness Australia, Arts Council England, Hackney Wick Festival, Debenhams, Roundhouse, World Circuit Records, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Cabrini Health, Universal Music, LK Property Group, Melbourne United Basketball Club, the National Basketball League and Bunnings.
